Case study 01: Respect Victoria
Redefining
masculinity
Co-designed with Victorian multicultural communities, this ambitious campaign features 14 men from Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Punjabi and Arabic-speaking backgrounds.
-
The success of this project was determined before we started filming.
We worked closely with all 14 men to unpack their views on masculinity, drawing out real stories that could be shaped into short, impactful pieces. Each film was co-scripted to land with clarity, while still feeling natural and relatable on screen.
That balance was critical. The films needed to feel real, not performed, so they could function as a vehicle for role modelling healthier versions of masculinity. Because in a country where, on average, a woman is killed by a man every week, we urgently need more men to step up and call out their mates.
Case study 02: Women with Disabilities Victoria
Breaking the education video format
We produced a four-part educational series for health-care practitioners about sex, pleasure and consent as told through the lived experiences of women and gender diverse people with disabilities.
-
Women and gender diverse people with disabilities in Australia face significant barriers to sexual health and experience higher rates of sexual and intimate partner violence.
We produced a four-part educational video series about sex, pleasure and consent through the lived experiences of women and gender diverse people with disabilities.
We reversed the traditional top-down model of educational content by creating a space for people to comfortably share their lived experiences in a setting that matched their vibrance. These candid insights were contextualised and connected to practical guidance for practitioners by two research experts.
The series was filmed in-house at our fully accessible Brunswick studio. We designed and built two custom sets to elevate the visuals beyond the typical aesthetic of educational videos.
Case study 03: Uyghur Resistance
A global portrait
of defiance
How does a diaspora in exile defy one of the most powerful regimes on earth?
To answer this question we shot, produced and published a photo book in collaboration with 30+ Uyghur people from Boston to Taipei.
-
This project took four years, 882 donors and hundreds of volunteer hours. We are so proud to have independently published this book and we hope you find strength in these pages.
